About me
Born in Madrid, Spain, I am currently based in Manila, Philippines. I am available for assignments worldwide and from Manila have easy access to the Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific regions.
I am particularly interested in international documentary, travel photography and photography with a humanitarian focus. I have shot on assignment for publications such as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and my photos have also been published by institutions such as the World Bank or NGOs such as Medicos del Mundo. My work has been exhibited in the US and Europe, including a solo exhibition about the Saharawi people at the US Congress in Washington DC.
I graduated from the Washington School of Photography and have studied with Magnum photographer David Alan Harvey. I also hold a master’s degree in International Relations and Development from Georgetown University. I am fluent in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian.
I subscribe to Henri Cartier-Bresson's definition of photography: "To take photographs is to align head, eye and heart. It is a way of life."
